doing-it-the-hard-way
Hello everyone. I am new to the forum but would appriciate any help you could give me. I have new to me 1998 legacy GT with the 2.5 motor and 80 thousand miles on it. when I bought it the car had a rough idle. After that I started getting a missfire code on #2 and #4. I have changed the plugs and wires, coil, and fuel injectors on 2 and 4. I have also done a compression check on all 4 cylinders and got 180psi + on all four cylinders. I don't have any vacum leaks. the #2 and 4 plugs are very wet(gas) and sooty(gas) as the #1 and 3 plugs are clean and white as they are brand new. I am running out of idea's, any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance
doing-it-the-hard-way
I finally popped the timing cover and discovered the the drivers side exhuast cam was two teeth off. I found it interesting that it would still have full compression but I'm just happy that it is all sorted out.
