pkwok4
I just ordered these parts for my stock 06 lgt. What kind of power can I expect for the following mods... -cobb ap -cobb short ram intake -cobb catback exhaust -perrin downpipe -perrin lightweight crank pulley -perrin uppipe -AVO turbo inlet -AVO TMIC Obviously I would have stage 2(ap,dp,cbe) already, would I need to dyno tune it with my other mods that I have? THANKS
PhilT
You really need a Protune as the stock Cobb maps do not take the short ram intake into consideration. With a Protune, expect to see between 250 and 270 whp, depending on the tuner and the dyno. Double Award Winning Legacy GT Wagon
kevkel33leg05
The Cobb intake should be fine on Cobb ots maps. When Cobb made it they based it off of the factory air box. Thats why Cobb says it’s the only intake you can use with their ots maps.

dbrunone
^^ Jon at TDC told me that every car he's seen with a CAI runs like 1.5 units leaner than a stock airbox, and stock with a high flow panel filter runs about 1 leaner. Like if the car wants 12:1, the filter setup will run 13:1, and the CAI will be 13.5:1. That's dangerous.
johnAWD
protune it Agreed. Decent list of parts, and with a tune the car will wake up nicely. I'd also avoid any aftermarket intake until you get a real tune done.
kevkel33leg05
I agree protune it. You get the most power out of it along with best drivability. I was just getting at his car won’t blow up with that intake and the ots maps.
TPLGT
Return the intake and buy an AVO panel filter...you will have much better results...CObb or not... You will be ok at best using the Cobb Stage 2 map. Since you will have a TMIC, you can run more boost. get a Protune if available, if not have TA or PDX make you a map to tkae in account the TMIC....you can run another lb. of boost with that. pkwok4
This might sound pretty dumb but is a protune the same thing as a dyno tune? Getting it tuned is not a problem I live 30 min away from cobb. My other question is that I know the stage 2 only require a ap and tbe, but will my other mods like the tmic, pulley, turbo inlet, intake, uppipe make me more power on top of the standard cobb stage 2 map? TPLGT
Yep Protune and DYnotune are the same. the TMIC allows you to run more boost. the pulleyy allows for 'quciker' acceleration not time wise just quicker respsonse...I believe..The UP is always good to do. If you have an 05 it really needs TBD because there is a cat in the 05 UP. The intake CAN be tuned for and can add more powaahhh DK about the turbo inlet...someone will certainly chime in. GL. I am sure it will change the car alot! Rehab is for quitters.
holyjoetart
Post about the cobb dyno tune. I was going to head there in a little to get my car tuned as well.
