RustyShackleford
This is a "mini" walk through. Yes, anyone who is going to do anything requiring removing the under-cover should probably not have much trouble removing the thing. But maybe this'll save you a few minutes. This is for the "one piece" type under-cover ... Basically, you have to remove 4 pop-its and 3 bolts. There is one pop-it on each side in the wheel-well area. It's forward of the tire and can be accessed without removing the wheel. There is one on each side near the front of the cover. These four pop-its are a little different from the ones we all know and hate. The center portion has *no* phillips-screw thingy. You just have to pry it away from the main part of the pop-it with a little screw-driver, or maybe grab it with needle-nose pliers, and pull. You want to pull out the center thing first, which then allows the main part to pull out. I didn't break any, but the weather was pretty warm ... The bolts are all on the underside of the cover. Two at the front, one on each side, in recessed dimple areas; one at the rear, near the center. They are all 10mm, but the bolt at the rear is shorter, so don't mix it up with the others. There are also a couple of plastic hook-like tabs near this rear bolt, that need to slip over the steel bracket that the bolt screws into. Maybe this "thread is worthless without pictures" but it ain't gonna happen !

RustyShackleford
thanks, i was just thinking how to remove it to clean the leaves from my radiator area and then make a mesh for it Actually, I was worrying over an odd rattle from the right-front of my car - when standing next to it with engine idling (sometimes I worry that I worry too much). When I pulled the engine cover, I noticed some small rocks under there; the rattle culprit I'm pretty sure.

dongray2
I found this incredibly useful. Thanks! Also, when removing the screws on a 6 year old car and they twist off from corrosion (thank you road salt) any good ideas on getting the stumps out? Thanks!
