Rogue77
I am in the market to buy another set of wheels but I still want to use/keep my stock tires (I don't need new ones yet). I am having some difficulty finding a set of wheels that I like in the stock tire size of my 2008 Legacy Spec.B or 18x7.0. Side note, I'd like to get all-season tires to put on my stock wheels and use my current summer tires on a new set of wheels. I'd like a set similar to these: http://www.wheelmax.com/product.asp?ProdId=15177 or maybe these: http://www.wheelsnext.com/wheels-rims/TSW-Mallory_5-Silver%20Gloss.html or possibly these: http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/findWheelDetail.do?dVeh=dVeh&bp=&tc=ENKFLC&c=1&rcz=60051&yr=2008&pc=48960&wd=18&rw=&vid=012501&rc=ILCINT BUT as you can see these are all only available in 18x7.5+ Anybody know where I can find some 18x7.0 wheels out there? I'm just here for the mods.
psucaptainkickass
Honestly, just sell the stockers, rims and tires, and get a set of 18x8s...one for winter, and one for summer. You'll have a ton of choices...and you may spend a little more now, but it should be worth it.
lawl
choosing new wheels based on being able to fit the stock TIRES is like this: you buy a bra for a flat chested girlfriend. she dumps you before you give it to her. then you go out and find another flat chested girlfriend to wear that bra that you just bought. car for sale. RoRsChAcH
Does anyone have any real thoughts on this? What part of staying with 18x7.0 wheels does not compute? I'm trying to answer the same question. Thanks!!!
Rogue77
Just trying to stick to a budget here guys. If I can buy a new set of wheels, use my current stock tires for 800 or less then I would be able to last to the end of the year on the same set of tires. THEN I can buy a new set all season tires at the end of the year to put on my stock rims for the winter. THEN when spring comes I can get a new set of summer tires for the new wheels to replace my stock tires. Just trying to not spend my wad all at once, recession and all, Obama isn't going to pay for my upgrades until the Spec.B bailout comes up for voting. I'm just here for the mods. RoRsChAcH
If you do a google search for "18x7.0" this post is the first result. I'm not sure if that is a good or bad sign? BTW....I'm waiting for the Spec.B bailout as well.
fonts
Most people want a wider wheel. My point is that if you want aftermarket wheels get something like an 18 x 7.5. It opens a TON more options and the stock tires on the SpecB will fit on an 18 x 7.5 wheel.
Spec B
I had the same tire delema...I went with 18x7.5 and the tire fits perfectly, it does not look stretched at all. I bought Rota Tarmac II's 18x7.5.
Spec B
The stock 215/45 tires on the 18x7.5 rim actually looks alot less streched than my 18x8 setup with 225/40s.
RoRsChAcH
Sweet....18x7.5's should fit then!
mikeislord
Sticking with 18x7.0 wheels is just going to make it much harder on yourself than necessary. 18x7.5 ftw.
djsnoops
or if u wanna go wider and possibly cheaper go 17x8 with 235s

Rogue77
Well, what I decided to do was just to pony up for some 18x7.5 rims and put my stock summer tires on them until they are all used up. I also bought some 215/45ZR-18 KUMHO ECSTA ASX XL (from tirerack.com) and put them on my stock wheels. Should be around this time next year that I will need some new summer tires. Heh, not looking forward to shelling out those bucks I posted here with my new rims: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110388 I'm just here for the mods.
