Did "little streams of alcohol come a-trickling down the rocks" like in the song? that looks like good times! Did you make it over to the Doo Wops Rally last week? It was down in that corner of the state...

Lmao I didn't even know of that song. I googled it, I'm not quite sure if it did come trickingling down haha! Ahh What they held a rally session?!?! I would have been the first person to show had I known it was there. That sucks! =(

Hey Spoonwacker I checked Doo Wops Rally site it doesn't show when there next event is? Do you know?

Heading back down late that evening there was a trail heading off to the left. Of Course I took it now the snow was about 6 inches. I followed the trail for a good 10min and it started to go uphill the snow was reaching about a foot now. It was starting to drag underneath, I could feel the suby was fighting it. What do you know a second later snow was too thick it wouldn't budge no more. Fair enough I throw it in reverse open the back hatch better visibility did not want to go rolling down the hill now lol! To my left now there was kinda a deep rut it went slightly uphill to the right it goes down hill. Ok I start reversing everything was going smoothly, 20 feet of backing down my front end was sliding into the rut. Now my front end is in the rut back end still on the road with a foot of snow. I Floored it (not a good thing), made it probably another 2 feet and yup I was stuck. Well, I try everything from rocking it back and forth, Airing out tires, digging the snow out from underneath(it was 27F not cold but everything was frozen), twigs under the tires nope none of it worked. I might have made it out but I was too scared to burn out the clutch again. (Last winter I went to Crystal Mtn to have some awd fun, got stuck there too (slid into a snow bank sideways) dumped the clutch like 30 to 40 times it didn't end to well.) Ended up calling my buddy to pull me out he drives a Renegade. Took him almost 2hrs to get to me haha. Moral of the story well the suby is not a truck, always come prepared, make sure to bring another vehicle along and maybe use good judgement.

Those pics are not from the same day and my buddy with the S10 his head gasket blew couldn't call him.

Doo Wops is once a year, but it's always around the Brooklyn tavern area. The Olympus Rally moves around - sometimes it's in the coastal mountains, and sometimes (like last year) it's over in Eastern WA near Pomeroy. It's April 25-26 this year, but I'm not sure about the location. The regional forums over on specialstage.com are a good place to keep an eye on the local rally events.
