caramall2
Some good reference info if you're a big Carbotech pad user (I use them and swap out various compounds). I once received a shipment that had different pads than the box showed, so that's when I asked for all the color codes (it's the color of the metal backing, not the compound itself of course): 1521-Red (Bobcat) AX6-Black XP8-Silver XP10-Orange XP12-Blue XP16-Yellow Can sticky this if you want, though I realize it's manufacturer specific so may not be "sticky" worthy. List of compounds are at: http://www.ctbrakes.com/brake-compounds.html They have some good info on bedding in pads, specifically a few minor steps for XP series that I don't think I had seen before. http://www.ctbrakes.com/faqs.html#compounds2

Ball Racing Inc.
That bedding info related directly to Carbotech pads, every company has their own bedding procedure. Good info, they make great pads, I really like the 12s and 10 with Neovas and the 16s are amazing with Race tires.
magnetic1
The 16s USED to be a Purple Barney color But yea, nice compounds. Much more rotor friendly than the competition and non corrosive brake dust is nice. Free Sonax Cleaner Deal http://www.brakeswap.com Carbotech, Hawk, PFC, DBA Rotors, Motul, Wilwood, Castrol... rudy
Ran Bobcats on my Miata when I did OneLap. A great "street/auto-x" pad as they perform well as low temps. Obviously, get something else for serious track work, but definitely what I'd consider running when I work through my stock pads.

They were a lot heavier than the Miata though Free Sonax Cleaner Deal http://www.brakeswap.com Carbotech, Hawk, PFC, DBA Rotors, Motul, Wilwood, Castrol... Great service. No bumping required !
