Rallitek.com
Everyone, If you are using an SPT intake for Legacy. RalliTEK will no longer attempt to support tuning for these intakes. OUR SUGGESTION IS TO GET RID OF THIS INTAKE! SPT intakes have the sensor mounted in a bend in the intake. This makes for very inconsistent readings and poor performance. Our apologies for any inconveniences they or we may have caused. RalliTEK will only support AVO, Cobb or Injen Intakes. (as well as factoy air box) Thank you, Sean Sexton www.RalliTEK.com

Are there more than one K&N intake for Legacy? The intake in the top pics looks fine. The SPT in the lower pic is the intake I am speaking of. Doesn't K&N make an intake that looks like the SPT? (Its red, the typhoon?) Help me here since we do not sell K&N

DrCloud
I guess this pretty much seals it (if it wasn't already sealed from previous threads here). So, what do you suppose is a useful thing to do with an uninstalled SPT intake? Use it for a petunia planter? I guess there's no possible justification for keeping it around, is there? HPH Not that we can see. Tim Bailey from Cobb/Surgeline and I will not tune with the SPT. I think I was mistaken when I included K&N in the title tho... Infamous1
I might be getting K&N confused with another... The K&N I am speaking of is red and looks like the SPT Am i mistaken? Sean S. All K&N LGT intakes are black in color, also it is one of the most consistant intakes I have tuned. The WRX/STI version of the K&N intake is red in color and very inconsistant. snow05gtRI
infamous might be talking about the K&N you're thinking of. the only red one i can think of for the LGT is the Perrin (i believe) what are your thoughts on the AEM CAI? btw sell your SPT in the members' classified here. there are always people who just want the intake sounds and that will give it to them. From the research I've done so far, it looks like KN for Legacy is not an issue. I apologize. SPT intakes are untuneable. AEM is just fine they tune out no problem.
