Bolksey85
For each on wheels, that is. I'm looking to spend between 1200 and 1600 on a set of wheels. Tires are a different story, just wheels for now. First off, looking to stick with a 17in wheel for weight, price, all that. I'd probably run a 225/45 for the extra touch of sidewall on an 8in wide wheel. Lately I've been dreaming about AME Tracers but also thought for the price, I could get a bit lighter wheel that still looks good. I was just curious what some people on here would buy within that given budget. Just as an FYI, it's DGM and I wanted a lighter color wheel. I'm not crazy about black wheels but a good looking darker shade (anthracite or a darker gray) is a possibility. Thanks for any input.
djsnoops
advan rs or 151c's are my fav those would be my number 1 choices, but it might be pushing your spending limit
StoplightAssassin
you could get the new Prodrive GT1s...they are 18x7.5 but you'd be the first with them on a Legacy AFAIK http://www.rallysportdirect.com/shop/images/GT1-Lineup.jpg http://www.rallysportdirect.com/shop/images/Impreza_rear-(2).jpg
Bolksey85
I work for a VW dealer and we have a wholesale Tire Rack account. TR has SSR Type F RS's on closeout for 399/each and Gram Light 57Optimise for 298/each...

Bolksey85
Both are very nice wheels. You can't go wrong with either .... especially for the price. I am beginning to really like the Gram Lights because of the $120 savings and after searching, I don't think I saw very many if any LGT's with the specific wheels I want. I'm thinking the 57Optimise in bright silver would look quite b1tchin on a DGM.
Regal05LGT
I love the SSR Type F....if you can get a good price on them, that's my recommendation
Bolksey85
I love the SSR Type F....if you can get a good price on them, that's my recommendation I can get that but 1, it's an extra $400 total. 2, TR has those on closeout so if I need a replacement in the future, I'd have to buy one from somewhere else and get raped. Bolksey85
^^^Those look a lot like the Gram Lights (57Optimise) I wanted. And for $40 less each. And they come with a center cap. And are lighter. I will admit though that I like the fatter spokes on the GL's but if I can't convince myself of the extra cash for them, those OZ's would be badass. Bolksey85
Alright, some more opinions. On a DGM car, bright silver: http://www.tirerackespanol.com/images/wheels/gramlights/swap/gl_57optimise_bs_ci3_l.jpg Or light gray: http://www.tirerack.com/images/wheels/gramlights/swap/gl57_optimise_ltgrey_ci3_l.jpg Both are actually somewhat close in color. I'm afraid the bright silver would look like chrome too much. But, TR has silver in stock with the gray being special order. Although the gray is also $20 less each. Oh, decisions. Anyone have pics of a gray wheel on a DGM car?
fonts
Nice looking wheels. I'd personally go with the light gray on a DGM .... but that's nothing more than a matter of personal preference. Good looking wheels in whatever colour.

Also pointed out that gray would hide brake dust better and be less offensive when dirty.

Bolksey85
Well, TR took down the gray Gram Lights. But, I found these on there for 299/each my cost. Plus, they're lighter and forged for the same price. http://www.tirerack.com/images/wheels/ssr/swap/ssr_typec_rs_anth_ci3_l.jpg
