hmm.. what wheels do you have? are you willing to part with a set? I'm not even kidding, I have to get winter wheels eventually that will clear these brembos.

i have 17x7.5 oz superturismos with winter tires

and 18x8 oz ultraleggeras wuth summer tires

got them both from tire rack for a good price. ultraleggeras were on sale which is why i jumped on them.

not selling them though as i need them.

i prob wont get my brembos on until april or may at this rate  and i think my oem pads are almost done. same ones since i bought the car in 04!

The ultraleggeras are nice. I have a set of Volk ce28n's (18x8.5) on order going on over 3 months now. I am just being patient. I am probably not going to have this done until April as well, one because we can still get snow at this rate and two my wheels arent here yet.

What part of NJ are you from? I live nearby to where the GSP merges with the NYS Thruway (near Saddle River, Chestnut Ridge)

I GOT MY BRACKETS TODAY!!!!!! Now I can order some pads, rotors, and fluids.

I ordered custom volks for my last car. ended up waiting 5 months. nice as hell, but by the time i got them i decided to sell the car. had them on for maybe 2 months tops. never again. too expensive for me, but damn nice.

I'm in union county off rt78 near summit nj. exit 141 off gsp about 30miles outside of nyc. we should do our swaps together. I have tons of tools and 30 gal air compressor.

  • 4 weeks later...

Haven't made official announcement yet, but I also sell rear brackets now (made by KNS Brakes).

These are improved design - not Brembo clone - and eliminate the brake pad offset issue (with old Kartboy brackets and Brembo brackets the pad will extend past the rear rotor and requires some hacking).

Pm me if you need a set.

I just installed Onkel's parking brake pads & KNS brackets yesterday and everything went together very well (once uncle mat helped me troubleshoot my parking brake reassembly - lol). I used Axxis Ultimate pads which were labeled inner (had wear indicator on one edge) & outer. I could not put the inner labeled pad on the interior side of the caliper / rotor, the pad wear indicator would not let it seat far enough down resulting in the pad being slightly higher than the outer surface of the rotor. Solution was to simply use the outer pad on the interior rotor side and inner pad on the outside. I started to just clip off the wear indicator, but figured I was better off leaving it to do its job.

About $800 for GTR's rotor, $600 for V36's rotor.

What material are they though ?

Aluminum or steel ?

The black ones I got from fastwrx (mach v dan) weigh almost nothing so I can't see how they could be steel. The look and feel like aluminum. I pm'd him. The site doesn't say.

Im going to hijack my own thread :p

Hey Dan,

I used the relocation brackets for my brembo conversion, and I have been having the problem with my rear rotors as described in the thread below. Any ideas on what would contribute to such a problem?

(pic of the rotor is in the first post, it has rust on the surface where the pad meets it towards the outer edge, but is shinny on the surface towards the center of the rotor)

Thanks,

Ryan
