curtis97322 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 New to the forum. Hopefully this is in the right place... Bought a 91 Legacy L wagon last night for a parts car price ($300). Decent body, etc. 220K miles. Runs, but only on 3 cylinders. Compression is 180ish on the 3 running cylinders, 220ish on the cylinder that's not. Haven't checked spark yet, charging super dead battery. Alternator is good - got the car home after a jump. So... any known issues that'll cause a cylinder to miss? Any downloadable manuals out there for this car? My appologies if these questions have been answered - the googlefoo is not with me today.
Bdubs Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I'd check plugs and wires and the coil pack before digging into the engine. http://bbs.legacycentral.org is a very informative place for 1st generation Legacies.
curtis97322 Posted January 20, 2009 Author Posted January 20, 2009 Thanks for the linky! My googlefoo is failing me again on coil pack diagnostic procedures...
