axis008
Good purchase, Clash! Spring compressor? You mean like to swap springs? I think it's pretty important. I think... Maybe Keefe can help. I forgot a lot of things from auto shop, so I am by no means an expert. -ben
panamajack
Get a spring compressor unless you want to get hit in the face with a 300lb fist.
Clash
hahah.. I heard you can rent from Autozone for like $40.00 and theyll give you your money back when you return it. But there isnt a Autozone in my area. Anywhere else? Pepboys, Advanced Auto Parts, Walmart?
Clash
Will probably install this week or the week after. Might clear my headlights too http://img137.exs.cx/img137/2815/dsc012733zm.th.jpg
Xenonk
Umm, you should have a spring compressor unless you want to replace your eye with a 300 mph 14mm locking nut. I ended up buying my spring clamps ($40). I made up the cash with one spring install that I charged and then some! Just buy them.. and charge someone like $150 for a spring install Keefe Keefe
Clash
Thanks Keefe but I found out that my friend and I can work on my car at a auto shop for free. Will try to clear headlights, install springs and paint calipers.

nasiocks
How's the ride and approximately how much did it lower it? I'm shopping for springs myself. Also, are new shocks recommended?
Clash
The ride just a little bit more bumpy then stock but you cant really tell. My brother and some friends didnt even know till I told them. It lowered about 1 1/2 inch in the front and 1 inch in the rear. Im using the stock struts and its working well for now.
dlew308
Did you have to get an alignment done?
Clash
After it was installed I got a alignment. Its recommended after messin around with the suspension.
dlew308
Just checking, I dropped my acura cl-s 2+" and had a basic alignment done. Luckily no camber issues
Xenonk
for your CL-S, it's a double wishbone suspension, so there's less camber change when the ride height is affected. I would recommend an alignment as the front stock struts have camber bolts (yay!). Keefe Keefe
