jamiesong
I searched and couldn't come up with much, so bear with me... I didn't really notice on my OEM setup, but I've been running the Megan for a bit, and now that it's getting cold and the exhaust steams up more, I've noticed a significant difference in flow between the two mufflers. I'm just guessing it's part of the characteristic of the piping from the cat back and where it splits at the Y-pipe, but... THIS much difference? http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff157/jg7734/Legacy/exhaust_flow.jpg I'll need to jack it up at some point to check and make sure everything is snug where they Y meets the muffler connections... Edit: After my drive into work I got out and checked, the driver's side tip was warm to the touch, but not hot like the passenger side. Thoughts? bochinam
Is one side of the Y longer than the other?
Bbc84
my 08' with Megan dual tips does the same. but not as bad
rao
The exhaust is lazy and it is taking the path of least resistance. Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT
jamiesong
Rao, that was my assumption, I was just surprised at the difference in volume (not sound). It should be noted that was a cell phone pic, so not the highest quality and it's vermont, so it was fricking freezing.
