Help newb diagnos noises..

Sup everyone. Recently I've been hearing a few noises that don't seem right. Please bare with me as I'm still new to cars and trying to learn.

The first seems to be a small rattle when the car is cold, linked to acceleration; ie when I press the gas, I can hear it, when I do not press the gas, the noise is not there. After the car is warm, the noise isn't there. Any ideas?

The other noise is a small rattle when using the fan. When the fan is on I hear a rattle, sounds like its coming from the passenger dash area. Hopefully not a major issue, just more annoying than anything else.

I do realize noises and rattles may only be one symptom, and with this limited information its difficult to directly identify exactly whats going on, however if anyone can offer some basic suggestions of things I can check or just give me an idea of some places to start that would be greatly appreciated.

Other info that may be helpful: The car is due for an oil change as well as a transmission service. The car other wise seems to be running fine; no funny smells or hesitation, stalling etc. I'm driving a 2002 Legacy GT with about 41k miles. Thanks in advance, Brandon.

The throttle related rattle may just be a loose clamp on the exhaust manifold heat shield. It's common on older cars. Between hot and cold not make much a difference but if it's just starting to get loose, it may be enough to shake while cold then stop once the pipe expands. The dash rattle may just be from age. If it's just with the fan running, it could be loose debris (leaves, trash, small children) getting shaken up by either the air being blown or by the wheel itself.
