PiKap335
Glad you're ok ... looks like it was a pretty hard hit. I wish I lived closer to Tucson... I have plenty of stock parts I'd love to switch out!
PiKap335
Do you think the adjustor will really inspect closely enough to notice that the sway bar is missing? I've never had an adjustor inspect the undercarriage that extensively in the past...something to think about.
g2redgsr
really doubt it....if you take it to a shop before hand theyll just take the word for it usually...

ripsweetness
Honestly - I'm not sure. I'm looking at Mazda Speed3, VW GTI & 09 WRX...should probably be out test driving so I know what I want if they total it. Uh... thats totaled no, worries there. Whats your price limit on the new car. Maybe we can help you pick something that you havent thought of yet.
ean611
Jazzy, I just saw this. I'm so sorry to see your car smashed. Mine was smashed 16 days ago by a drunk driver. I pick up an 08 LGT tomorrow. I hope everything goes ok for you!!!
D_J
Dang...yes that should be totalled. I totalled my my last car 3 years ago and then some chick "got confused" which lane she was in and swerved into my wagon 2 weeks ago. I'd go with a new Outback SE with the Harmon Kardon stereo...maybe try to get leather upgrade seats.
PeterJMC
Glad you made it out ok from that! What was her reason for blowing the red light...? Was she on her cell phone? I've witnessed 2 people that have driven through a red light while talking on their cell phone.
D_J
Yeah I try to make it a habit not to gun it when the light turns green and look both ways. So. California drivers are notorious for blowing through red lights especially in L.A.

Jacks GT
Any chance of an update? Was she totalled? What are you replacing her with?
jazzymt
She's officially totalled...just trying to work out with the insurance companies which one is going to offer a better deal. Right now both of them kinda suck, but I still have a chance to maybe get some more out of her ins. co. I replaced the Outback with a 2008 STi a couple weeks ago when my ins. co. told me it was a total loss (hers is a hell of a lot slower). It's dark grey metalic & hella-fun. I'm still getting used to going back to a manual tranny though. It's been 8 years - def. not smooth if I'm trying to be fast yet. leggtnut
Nice step Jazzy. If the same happened to me, I would have a hard time not going that route.
