Have many people had issues with their dryflow filter from the AEM CAI getting wet? I got my car back from being worked on at a shop one day, and when I started to get into boost on my way home, the car threw me the infamous P0103 error code: "MAF High Output." I took apart the intake and removed the filter. Sure enough, it was wet....I'm still not sure if it got wet from a freak thing like one of the mechanics at the shop driving the car through an especially big puddle....?:spin: The filter wasn't that dirty, but I cleaned it anyway and let it dry overnight. When I reinstalled the intake/filter the next day, my car sputtered and had a hard time getting started. I took out the MAF sensor, and it was wet. Apparently, my filter wasn't completely dry when I reinstalled it and water was still getting sucked up into the intake.

The previous owner of the car had no issues with the setup, so I was wondering if this is just a freak thing that shouldn't happen frequently or if I need to be concerned about the filter getting wet with this system living here in VT where we tend to get a lot of rain, slush, snow etc.???

Do you have the skid plate on?

I do have the skid plate with several small holes for air to flow through, and I guess maybe water too...:spin: (I haven't gotten a touchless carwash yet that cleans the undercarriage, which I need to get periodically in the winters here in VT...a little concerned about getting filter wet from this too.)...also have a good heat shield installed in the engine bay. I guess there are no real answers on this one. I know its completely dry now and seems to be running fine...I'll just have to watch it. Maybe the cone over the filter idea would be a next step if it becomes a persistent problem.
