help! braking problem 01 lgt limited!

so here it is! i buy this 01 lgt with 61,000 on it the other day, it's " the ole ladies car" and so the calipers are warped! i changed them only to find that i still have shaking in the front end and steering wheel when i apply the brakes! it only seems to happen at spedds above city driving ( hwy or freeway speeds) any got any ideas? any and all help would be appreciated! thanks

It's not the calipers, its the rotors Replace them and you should be fine.

sorry rotors is what i meant. but unfortunatly when i called the sub dealer i got the usual" bring it in, only x per hour" so i appreciate the feedback, keep it coming!

Replacing the rotors will fix the problem, but it might very well return if you are still using the OE pads.

any other ides? the rotor swap didn't help!

Did you stick with the OE pads? Did the problem present itself immediately? Or after some time from your rotor change?

no, i went to hawk pads and new rotors! the problem is the same as prior to swap! not really sure whats going on but i would like to figure it out or unfortunatly the car will be for sale! a shame at only 62,xxx current miles and in near mint condition! i thought this was the car i would be keeping for a while!

Can you jack the car up and see if there is any play in the wheel from side to side and up/down? If so, it could be a wheel bearing or tierod/balljoint issue.
