If you watch the video you see the screwy way the tranny sits. The tranny is at the rear axle. A drive shaft sends power from the engine all the way back to the tranny on the rear axle. From there the tranny has another drive shaft shooting forward to power the front wheels! I did not know that.

they put the tranny in the back to offset the weight of the engine.

although i'm sure they didn't think it through completely with the power the engine can output.... having to travel so much on two driveshafts.

Its amazing how bad this is hurting their image. They better cover those transmissions under warranty, or this car is going to have a short lifespan.

I wonder what the 0-60 is on the GT-R without dissabling the traction control, that "VDC" thing? They need to admit that this car is only capable of THAT time or start a recall on those transmissions.

If they just put 6MT box in it, I'd consider it. I am not touching any autoboxes with 10 meter long pole.

They should have started with a tranny that is proven to hold 600hp and 600trq atleast. But Nissan wanted to have this tranny for 20k a pop, nice. There is obvious companys that build AWD trannys up to handle excess of 1k horsepower, im sure they would have built one for way less than 20k.
