SubeeTedV Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Hi ALL! I'm still having a problem tracking te correct part number and ID for this pipe. I know it's a Vent pipe for fuel. I jacked my car up and took same pix below. I know it's metal. I circled them in Paint Shop in Red. The first Pix shows were the METAL pipe were in connects next to the filler pipe, and were it starts to go through the frams. The second pix shows were it goes through the frame, and were it connects. many thanks, Ted http://mysite.verizon.net/tedbier59/VpipeA.JPGhttp://mysite.verizon.net/tedbier59/Vpipe2A.JPG
Bdubs Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 I provided you with a part # in the previous thread, was that not the correct one? 42065aa350? The picture in the book looks like its a metal pipe which bends at a 90* angle. My book is for a 2.2 though, so like I said, send Jamie @ www.Subarugeniuneparts.com an email and ask if that number corresponds to your VIN number, and if it doesn't, she will tell you what correct number it is.
SubeeTedV Posted October 25, 2008 Author Posted October 25, 2008 Hi! I did email Jamie. He wanted me took pick out this part from the "Blow-up" he sent me. Even with that, it's still difficult. The # 42065aa350 looks like the filler part itself, it also goes for $36.00 before discount. I think it might be 42075, but there's a B and a C . I have the diagram below. http://mysite.verizon.net/tedbier59/fuelF.JPG
SubeeTedV Posted October 25, 2008 Author Posted October 25, 2008 I didn't know Jamie was a SHE! It's one of those names,,,like Dana, Tedi,etc...
Bdubs Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Well if it is that part, its only a $2 piece, so your are in luck. Also, get new clamps, you'll probably destroy the ones that are on there now trying to get them off. That scan is pretty similar to what I have, but there aren't full part #'s on there, so its tough, although the part you THINK it is is part 0951ae180. On my scan, it just has numbers and you reference the table at the bottom for a complete part number.
