polvo Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Do you all know what I'd need to mate the stock cans to an aftermarket pipe? I think it's a cobb or stromung mid and/or y-pipe, but I'm not really sure. Would I need just the OEM gasket or something else to make the transition?? I'm trying to get all my parts together today so I can change it over tomorrow. Thanks!
05pearl Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 I am not sure about the gaskets. But, my stock cans mate up to my cobb y pipe with no issues.
polvo Posted October 18, 2008 Author Posted October 18, 2008 I just tried, and the stock cans won't mate up to the aftermarket y-pipe. POOP. Not even close.... It makes it hard when I don't know what brand the y-pipe is...
affinity1 Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 I am not sure about the gaskets. But, my stock cans mate up to my cobb y pipe with no issues. would you happen to know the diameter of the cobb y pipe? anyone know if AVO mid and y-pipe will fit stock mufflers?

joedirt1 Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Does anyone know if stock mufflers bolt up to the Stromung cattback?
KartRacerBoy Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 If the stock cans don't match up to the y-pipe, polvo, it's not a Cobb mid/y-pipe, which I have with the stock cans.
