bocalu99
The mickeyd stage 1 map is an excel file, correct? How do I bring that into ecuflash in order to write it to my ecu??? Am i missing something or am i just slow? ECUflash only seems to want .hex or .bin types, etc....no .xls or whatever excel files are... PLEASE HELP ME! mickeyd2005
Don't edit the rom using ecuflash. Edit the rom using Romraider. Those tables are intended for use with romraider with US settings. Only use ecuflash for flashing.
bocalu99
I brought my stock rom into romraider...but how do I apply your stage1 map table values to my stock map in romraider? Do i have to manually enter all those values?

G mang T
and use ECU flash for reading ..correct?
dmp
Yes - for reading - but no for logging. Reading the ECU via ECU Flash gives weird things. But - it'll allow you to save your ECU's program as a .hex file, to open, edit/adjust using RomRaider. Make sense? SOLD | '06 spec.B - VF52/AVO/740cc/Up/Down | 238awhp | 50-80mph 3.1 seconds. FYI: I have windows XP home edition 2002
Spec B
Mickey's tune comes in Excel format, so I think yes, you will need excel. You really need to download 2 things. 1 - Romraider (to view and alter your Rom and to log) : http://www.romraider.com/RomRaider/Download 2: ECU flash (to copy and flash your rom to and from your ecu): http://www.openecu.org/index.php?title=EcuFlash
dudeondacouch
i think you can also view the .xls files in openoffice which is free unlike MS Office.
lilbrudder
can anyone confirm that? i would rather not have to re buy MS office.

John M
openoffice.org - great alternative to Office and looks damn near the same. I include it on all the PCs I sell at my shop.
lilbrudder
john, will it read the .xls files?
dowright82
So, I can't paste into RomRaider - - - the only way I can change is by manually adjusting all values . . . what gives??
mickeyd2005
It's set up for paste table. Is your computer set up for US settings? English units in romraider ecu defs?
John M
john, will it read the .xls files? Sorry - didn't see the question. OpenOffice can read 99% of the .xls files out there. There are some of the more complicated Excel functions that OO can't handle but for what you need with RomRaider it'll be fine.
lilbrudder
oh, thanks. i found my MSO and reinstalled it, i couldn't find and free versions of OO anyway.
