Ok, i have an 07 spec b and recently i have been having problems starting my car. I have to play with the alarm on the key fob to get my car to start, and it's never the same order. Does anyone know how to reinitialize the alarm system or have any other ideas. I cant take it to the dealership, stage 2, and i had my drivers door replaced.........bitch hit me.

Ok we are going to need more info.

Do you have a remote start system on the car? If so is it factory?

Are you having issue where the horn beeps when you get into the vehicle?

no remote start, no trouble with horn sounding when i get into vehicle. I walk out in the morning, unlock the car, get in, try to start and nothing....I have to open the door and play with the alarm to get it to start. I was stuck for an hour last night before it would start. Like i said I had to replace the door, I work at a body shop and usually when you replace a door you have to reinitialize the alarm, windows etc... I can't figure this one out though.

What is on your key chain in addition to the keys? If there are any other RFID devices on your keychain (like a Mobil Speedpass, other RFID car keys, etc) it can interfere with the RFID immobilizer chip in your LGT key.

What, exactly, are you doing when you "play with the alarm"?

ok, so it happened to be a coincidence that when i would "play" with the alarm the car would start. When I said play, i meant that i would lock the car and unlock, eventually it would start.....i couldnt think of anything else that it could be at the time.........took the car to the dealership. They replaced the neutral safety switch...under warranty (they helped me out) the service guy was pretty cool.
