Subaru 2.5GT death

Did anbody hear about, or see the news story of the 17 year old boy from Longmont who killed an 18 year old girl, and himself driving a Subaru Legacy?

 

Anybody know anything, know the kid, the girl anything?

 

I usually don't pay that much attention to stories like this on the news because People die all the time. It happens. However, to have your life ended at 18 years old by some kid who is driving you around?

 

Also, I took notice to this story because I heard a Subaru was involved, and then saw the shot of the crumpled to shit 2.5gt. I have a 2.5gt wagon, so I noticed

 

Also my bosses daugther was a friend of the girl, so they are attending the service. My thoughts go out to that girls family, it is truly a tragedy.

 

I have a few issues with this story:

 

I heard excessive speed was to blame, Judging the car, and the 17 year old male driving it, I don't doubt it. What 17 year old kid has a 2.5gt? Unbelievable, spoiled, irresponsible young men. At least he doesn't have to live with what he has done...

 

Sorry if I have offended anyone by my comments, it just sickens me how many of these young kids are totaling their turbo Subarus, hurting and even killing people. Parents, what the hell are you thinking buying your kids these cars?

 

Was this Metcalf kid a member of this board?

Oh, and I forgot to mention: One of the issues I have is that we never really get the full story, I speak all these words of frustration, but in reality I don't know what happened in that accident. I was wondering if anybody could clarify for me?

 

And also, I apologize if I have assumed incorrectly.
