Tuning effects on SI Drive

If anyone has gotten a tune on their LGT that has SI drive, can you describe the process? Can you actually feel a difference? Also, does anyone know of a tune available that will re-map each setting (I, S, S#), ie. change boost at each setting. Thanks

Getting a typical tune will just affect each SI drive mode equally. The SI drive really only adjusts the throttle response. I mode gives you only about 40% throttle when the pedal is pushed down 100%, S mode gives you 100% throttle when the pedal is pushed down 100% and S# mode gives you 98% throttle (never actually gets to 100% in S#) when the pedal is down about 50%. If you want a tuner to change those throttle settings they should be able to adjust them to your liking. They don't have a way to change things like boost with each setting.

The S and I modes are decreased performance versions of the S#, they use the same map but with less throttle or less boost. It kinda funny because I used the fuel efficient map and got worse mileage for a while until I went from I mode to S mode. And to answer your question about different maps for the different modes, yes it is possible but its only really possible from a shop like I-Speed and only after they port the TGVs.

I spent a ton of time and effort doing the research and here is my conclusion for the 07+ LGTs, if you want maximum performance (like you are going to race your car) or if you want maximum potential (like performance S# mode and super fuel economy) you would need to do the TGVs and EcuTEK tuning from someone like Bill at I-Speed. I ended up going with the AccessPORT because it was cheaper, is able to get 98% of the performance of EcuTEK, and I can just resell it one day when I go get my EcuTEK tuning and make most of my money back.

Here is the thread that I got all my info, read through it: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=94938

I did notice a little bit of a difference in throttle response in I mode @stg1-2.But not much.the ECO guage seems to be a little more responsive going from + to -.

The SI drive really only adjusts the throttle response.

Until recently, I've been driving both of our cars in S# mode, because it "felt" quicker. But I think that the way that SI-Drive works (being limited to throttle sensitivity) explains that nicely. It seems that most US-made rental cars I've driven recently have hair-trigger throttle pedals rather like S# gives you, regardless of their actual torque, so it's all really just a smoke-and-mirror trick to make you think: Ooohhhh, sporty!

Lately, I've been using plain S mode, and I'm finding that there's just as much torque available if you put your foot into it a bit more. Further, because the pedal isn't so sensitive, it's easier to manage quick, smooth shifts in both directions on the 6MT.

So I think I'll be staying in S now. With the Stage 1 AP map, it's got all the oomph I was looking for. HPH

I limits throttle to about 50% open

S will fully open but response is slower

S# opens alot faster and sees WOT by about 85% pedal movement

the only other thing affected by these tables are boost

Stock:

i= 9 psi

S= 13

S# = 13 by 85% throttle

Thats what HB Speed says about the different modes.

After going Stage II Cobb OTS, I swear there's a difference in foot-to-the floor S and S# mode.

It's almost like my AP put the OTS maps on the S# which I was in at the time. I can be on the highway in S with my foot down and when I press S# on the wheel I can feel it start to pull more.

And my turbo gauge shows almost 1.5 Bar (kPA) like 19-20 PSi under 4th or 5th gear while bogging it down.
