RIPjeep2002 Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Hey guys. I am doing my homework in regards to buying an 09' LGT 5EAT. I built one on subaru.com and I added the spoiler, rocker trim, gauge pack, all weather floor mats, splash guards, Sirius, Auto dimming compass and mirror. The web site MSRP of 33,099. I willl be trading an 02' Jeep liberty limited fully loaded and plan on putting at least 10G down(im 21, working full time as an RN, and working on a master's degree so I've been saving). What should I try to work the price down to? In my area, Minooka and WVM do not get a lot of LGT in due to needing premium fuel so I might have to order it from the factory. What can I expect?
tachikaze Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 If you can wait 6 months you can join a marketing affiliate and get 2% off invoice with SOA's VIP program. Or you can join costco and buy through them for invoice. http://www.cars101.com/subaru_prices.html says the basic invoice price for the GT 5EAT is $27,708, add in ~60% of MSRP of the options you want. This should be your basic negotiating point. You can go around 2% lower if you are a hardball negotiator, but this is the "fair" price these days. IMO at least.
RIPjeep2002 Posted September 19, 2008 Author Posted September 19, 2008 How do I join a marketing affiliate? lol. I am all about getting money off
tachikaze Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58200 I joined Leave No Trace: http://www.lnt.org/programs/subaruVIP.php but since you are in PA you might want to go to FARRISH Subaru: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95423
TobyR Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 You should check out Farrish in Fairfax, VA It is probably about 250 miles but you can literally save 1000s In fact, the price was so good I was able to have mine BUILT (not off the lot) and shipped to Idaho and STILL came in UNDER invoice. 09 LGT 5MT, STI Shifter, HomeLink mirror, rear dome reading light, Armrest Extension & Floor Mats. $27k including local taxes and fees (not sales tax). Search the forum for 'Farrish'. A.K Maloney was pleasant and professional and the deal was simply outstanding. If you KNOW you want an LGT there is simply no better way to get it at a good price. T
RIPjeep2002 Posted September 21, 2008 Author Posted September 21, 2008 yeah. I searched for them and I saw their posts and pictures of their deals and all i can say is wow. Their prices are amazing.
