I'll have that set up shortly - have the parts; just need to install. :)

Heres a little video just to give you an idea. Im giving it a little gas in the begining so i could hear what my car sounds like from the outside. Hks catless up x02 catless dp stock catback. It might sound loud but inside the car its nothing at all.

I try to get a better one or one from inside the car if you want.

i have that set up and the only real noise difference i noticed is its a little more throaty when revving. while accelerating not much difference cept for the insane turbo spool..sounds like a dump truck but i love it!

There's very little noise difference, windows up. The exhaust note has a bit more bass; otherwise, it's fine.

:)

..and I'm OLD.

With a new DP you can hear the engine more from the cabin. Outside with the stock catback you won't notice a real increase in noise.

My catless UP and shorty DP with stock cans sounds darn near stock but with much more engine / turbo noise. Perfect, IMO.

Technically you don't even need to replace the UP.

It's just a good idea in case the cat in the stock UP decides to break up and eat your turbo. ;)

Cheers!

I just put on a gutted stock UP and crucial racing DWG DP (shorty pipe).

With the windows up, the engine noise is a bit louder at idle, and very noticably louder at highway speeds. The turbo spool and wastegate noise is also now audiable, whereas when stock I could barely hear the wastegate and the spool was for all purposes inaudiable.

With the windows down at idle, the engine noise is louder, and the spool and wastegate are now clearly audiable. At WOT through the peak boost ranges (between 2800-4500 on my stage 1 map, still not updated for stage 2) spool and wastegate are surprisingly loud for having stock everything-else (turbo, midpipe and cans).
