"The AP comes with a small piece of hardware which you use to load or change maps. You can also use it to check CEL codes, reset your ECU, remove the flash all together, perform dyno estimations, calculate 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, and monitor real time data from the ECU. The EcuTek reflash involves us plugging our laptop into your ECU and loading a map. We are the only ones who can change the map or remove it if need be. With the AP you can even switch between various maps, like valet, antitheft, low boost, race fuel, etc."

This is the quote from PDX Tuning. Were you rec'ing the EcuTek reflash by PDX, or something else? It seems like the Cobb AP would be the better choice, but i just don't know, and I've heard the maps are EVERYTHING when it comes to Stage 2 mods.

I would never reccommend ECUTek, I was refering to a open source Ecu flash. The software is completely free and if your tuner offers this service all you have to pay for is the actual tuning cost.

where are you getting the cobb for that much? hmmm?

people can tune on top of the accessport. you can use it for base maps OR tuners can make a map, and load it on the accessport so you have the freedom of using their tuned map, go back to stock, or whatever you want with the AP.

dyno tune will yield the best results, though. it actually logs your car's performance and adjusts the tune accordingly. if you have a dyno tuner near by its a good choice. i havent figured this out yet, but I'm guessing you could load a dyno tune onto the AP as well for freedom of map choices? someone more knowledgeable can probably answer that....
