I unmarried my AP from my 07 LGT and everything went through ok, no loss of power...nothing out of the ordinary. Hit the OK button when done, pulled it out...car doesn't even crank, just no start at all. Any ideas? something i did wrong, or just a strange out of the blue kinda thing. Or should i call cobb with my issue see if its an AP issue

Turn the car to 'on' and let the gauges complete their full sweep, then try to crank.

Is the info panel showing an error to you? Did you maybe kill the battery doing it?

green connectors?

I want to know the outcome of this cos if I ever unmarry mine I dont want to "brick" my ECU.

i have green connectors, they were unconnected when started. Not the battery, i keep a battery charger on it just in case. When the sweep was done a message came up about do a mode check (no idea what that is or how to do it)

green connectors?

In the passenger foot well. Must be connected to flash a base map?

At least in 05 and 06 to my knowledge.

^ same question...cuz i dont remember if i connected them when i unmarried or not. If that caused the problem. Needless to say the car went to the dealer, getting looked at now. Looking like a ecu problem.

so do the green connectors have to be connected or unconnected when you un-marry the AP?

Since you're reflashing your original stock base maps back on, I assume they would have to be connected.

(Unless the AP has some tricky method of swapping maps that I'm not familiar with)

It is a bit different than flashing back to stock style mode. When going back to stock style mode on an 07, you don't have to connect the test connectors.

But, unmarrying the AP is different than flashing back to stock style mode, so I didn't know if they needed to be connected or what not.

I flashed my OBXT with Accessport V2 various times, unmarring it then completely and I ALWAYS connected the green connectors during this procedure (marring and unmarring).

CANbus cars ('07+) don't have to have the green connectors connected to marry the AP or to reflash base maps. I'm assuming they don't have to be connected to un-marry the AP either.

do you get power through the radio and everything with the key in and turned to the on position? if so try to turn your key from off to crank... faster, if it cranks 2 or 3 times then cuts off you'll need to get your keys reflashed. if that's the case it's your key immobilizer PITA thingy.

i have married and unmarried my 07 a few times, i have never messed with any green connectors. so wherever they are stock, leave them there.

^^Thank you for posting that. I've been wondering if I should experiment with a divorce (without the connectors, which I didn't touch during the wedding), but I've been worried about the result. Your post is reassuring. HPH

I think you only need to connectors plugged in when marrying it the first time.

just got the car back...needed an ecu and a transponder for the keys to be reprogrammed. Now the ring around where the key goes blinks...i have no idea what that is.

I also had an oil leak from that stupid oil feed line. They replaced it with the updated one however its not the recalled part. It still smells really bad at stop lights of oil, so im praying its just leftover on the exhaust that hasn't burned away yet.

The best news though (although i haven't reinstalled the AP yet, since im sending it to cobb to make sure its ok) the car has ZERO stutter, and its had bad stutter since the day i got it. AP made it better, but it was still there, but i have just been dealing with it.

Were you able to finagle that under warranty?
