Infamous1 Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Congrats on the times..... Log is very clean, appears to be no knock. It is conservative boost and very strong timing. Here is your dyno plot, I use stock tire diameter and a delta weight of 300lbs. Remeber the numbers aren't exactly on the spot but I feel it is pretty conservative given your 105mph trap speed.
kevkel33leg05 Posted September 11, 2008 Author Posted September 11, 2008 Thanks Lucas596 and Infamous for the dyno chat. Thats exciting right around the 300 wtrq. Mike Over at ta was awsome to work with and kept helping me with false knock do to my LWF. Only in the low rpm's. What would be a more sutible mod infamous to get into the 12's. An update map with an intake or just Bigger mid and Y. Maby cans too but had loud exhaust in my stang days and just to much attention.
Infamous1 Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Mid and Y would help, but really just a bit better 60ft or quicker shifts. Your traps speeds are capable of high 12's as is.
lucas569 Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 i have a TA map from mike too and it rocks!
j255c Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 seems like good driving, im sure you can crack 12s w/ more practice. 06 TB EVO IX SE stock turbo monster subaru hater
kevkel33leg05 Posted September 11, 2008 Author Posted September 11, 2008 Yea maby ill go one more time before the season is over:cool: I had the flat foot shifting set at 6800rpms First two runs i didnt use it. 3rd run i did but missed 4th gear. And did it on the last run. Think i should shift earlier in the rpm's?
Infamous1 Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Definately shift earlier, 6300rpms max in 2nd and 3rd. There is not much left after that point.

kevkel33leg05 Posted September 11, 2008 Author Posted September 11, 2008 I will definately have to go again and shift earlier. flat foot shift on an lgt transmission gl w/ that. Ill take the goodluck. Only use it at the track. Only 2nd-3rd-3rd-4th.
JoeFromPA Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 TA is looking like a decent new e-tuner, with pretty good prices. If what is said is spot on, you dropped .3 seconds going from a Cobb Stage 2 OTS tune to a TA e-tune. And if Infamous says it's a decent tune, I'll believe it's decent. That man see's the cloud in the silver lining. Joe
AKLGT Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 great times! Wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle yeah!!!
JoeFromPA Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Oops, just realized you went with the TA tune AND a new FMIC at the same time.
skiskank Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 that is wicked cool video! awesome times. i like the camera angle from further back on the rear seat, so we can see the gauge cluster and shifting

kevkel33leg05 Posted September 11, 2008 Author Posted September 11, 2008 Thanks guys, Since the first map i got from i have never had any knocking under wot. Once again great customer service from TA!! that is wicked cool video! awesome times. i like the camera angle from further back on the rear seat, so we can see the gauge cluster and shifting In that shot If you watch my window you can see the rpm gauge. Didnt even mean to get it like that.
Infamous1 Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 I am just amazed they let you run without a helmet.
JoeFromPA Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 mike is not new, he used to be at TDC. the man has 1000,s of tunes under his belt! TDC - Ahhh! (j/k) Well, they are in the vendor forum as a "new Cobb Protuner"....so....bleh to you In all seriousness, I appreciate the posts you given Infamous. I see you as having a fairly critical eye, so when I see you give a thumbs up to a tune, I feel like I can assess it as a good tune. You should really start selling yourself out and giving the Infamous Sign of Approval for big money. Then retire young. Too much caffeine today for me. Joe
kevkel33leg05 Posted September 11, 2008 Author Posted September 11, 2008 I am just amazed they let you run without a helmet. Well it used to be anything under 12.99 you needed a helmet. Now they changed it to anything under 13.99 you need one. They kept saying to me i needed one after the fact but no one was stoping me at the line.
Guest LGT-NY Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Nice times and great write up. The video was a really nice touch. Be careful with the tranny tough.
lucas569 Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 id bet that w/ out LC and flat foot shifting youd get a better time...

Joe Thanks I just like to call em' as I see em', no need to "sugar coat" things.
