John_2001
I was replacing the spark plugs on my 1991 legacy (non turbo) and I apparently shorted out the two wires going to the drivers side front fuel injector. One of the wires had a bare spot on it, so I may have grounded it out with my ratchet. Now the car won't start. It will crank just fine but has no fire. I checked both fuse boxes and I can't find a blown fuse. I looked for burned wires as best I could but didn't find any. Any help would be appreciated. Justin Forsythe
First thing I would do would be to check the trouble codes, there are instructions everywhere in forums to do this for the OBDI. make sure the car still has spark coming from the coil. you can test by removing spark plug from the block, reattach to wire, and grounding the combustion end of the plug, turn it over, check for spark between the electrodes of the plug. usually requires 2 people. Osei
Also check the relay and fuses for the fuel pump. You may have shorted them out. see http://www.main.experiencetherave.com/subaru_manual_scans/ check appropriate sections. O.
