06OBXT: MR coilovers, 18" Formula Mesh, Legacy Grill

Hi all,

Finally got around to taking some pics of the recent mods. Thanks to Sebberry and Simple who provided the inspiration and feedback on the MR coilovers.

I'll apologize in advance for the STi badge. Yes, it's a poseur move, but I like the way the red matches the paint. Plus the idea of an STi Outback is ridiculous and funny IMO.

The grill is a Fast WRX grill (Legacy version) I stuffed a 1" strip of minicell foam under the front bumber skin. The gap almost looks like a grill splitter http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Other mods:

18" Rota Formula Mesh (hyper silver)

245/45/18 Falken FK452

Megan Racing Coilvers

SuperPro LCA bushings (zero offset)

AVO RSB reinforcement brackets

Cusco 22mm Rear Sway Bar

May I ask what is the offset on these rims? they look perfect!!

Hi Pachilla,

The Rota's are 48mm offset and are 8.0" wide. 8.5" wide wheels would probably rub in the front when the wheels are turned at extreme angles. I have had no rubbing issues front or rear.

Sweet looking ride!, does anyone know if those rims would fit the 08 2.5i? I want to get a pair of gold ones for my wifes outback, it makes the outback look bad a$$!

I don't see why not. As long as the 08's still have a 5x100 bolt pattern. I actaully tried to check for you on Wheelsdude.com, but their site is getting progressively worse and less user friendly with every iteration.

ohh, can you please provide a link to the maker of the grill please! thanks!

Hey natoli4,

You might want to check out Rommel's offerings since the one I bought leaves a 1/4" gap at the bottom (that's with stuffing 1" minicell under the bumper skin) The gap would have been over an inch.

I actually searched for other options before dropping the cash, but didn't see any Outback specific offerings (don't know how I missed Rommel's:confused:)

I may go that route in the future.

Anyhoo, I got mine from www.fastwrx.com

Look in the Legacy area.

Rommel, do you have a site, or pics you can share or your Outback grill?

Any ideas on what to do with our exhaust using our rear bumpers?

I have a hitch so dropping the exhaust down an inch might not work.

I have considered having the muffler shop weld on some chrome tips that sit even and level under the bumper. Any thoughts?

Just trim the under-side of the bumper cover.....
