My Car
Hey there. sorry if this is a huge thread bump but ive got a question. you said that: Camshaft retainer (2.5L)...........................70 to 90 in-lbs Connecting rod nuts.................................32 to 34 now im about to tighten the camshaft retainers on the head of my 94 legacy 2.2L non turbo motor. it says 70 - 90 in lbs for the 2.5L. WHAT ABOUT THE 2.2L?! im so confused that it only gives specs for the 2.5L in the book. and whats the connecting rod nuts? sorry if this is a FAQ. thanks in advance. thisguys2130
Awesome info icrackedcorn! I had my legacy in firestones shop the other day so they could pinpoint which wheel bearing was bad for me and when I picked the car up I had to go back in because the check engine light was on which it was not when I dropped the car off. The code read (P0500= VSS or curcuit malfunction), this doesnt sound like it should of happened when all they had to do was put it on the lift put it in gear and listen to the bearings. What would make the car read that code? I am afraid they have done something to possibly sabotage my car or maybe played a sly trick to get me to come back because I told them I didnt want them to do the service since I can do it for half the price.
