spikedzombies
My dad has a 1990 subaru legacy wagon 2.2ltr and its running into some problems right now. I was told by autozone they wont scan cause its pre-obd2 and they dont do it. Can anyone give me suggestions on how to grab codes, and if so where to find out where to look up the codes for it. No i dont have a haynes manual and dont have enough for one right now. Im pretty sure its the IAC thats causing the problems, but its having other issues too i would love to get some codes off of it. Unless im moving in the wrong direction than any help is appreciated. these are the only codes I know, just dont know how to read them without a scanner Code 11 Crank angle sensor fault Code 12 Starter switch fault Code 13 TDC sensor fault Code 14 Injector no.1 fault Code 15 Injector no.2 fault Code 16 Injector no.3 fault Code 21 Coolant temperature sensor fault Code 23 Pressure sensor fault Code 24 ISC solenoid valve fault Code 26 Air temperature sensor fault Code 32 Oxygen sensor fault Code 33 Vehicle speed sensor fault Code 35 Purge control solenoid fault Code 36 Ignition circuit fault Code 41 Air/fuel ratio control system fault Code 42 Idle switch fault Code 43 Throttle switch fault Code 45 Atmospheric pressure sensor fault Code 52 Clutch switch circuit fault Code 62 Electric load signal fault Code 63 Blower fan switch fault Code 65 Vacuum pressure sensor fault

Reuben
That'd be a simple simple task. http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~ccgrant/celcheck.htm Driver foot well, stick you head in there and look up. in the middle somewhere are 2 unconnected plugs, plug em together and turn the ignition to acc, if the CEL is blinking, you got the right ones, if not you found the wrong ones, or something. It's pretty hard to mess it up. Just don't start the car with them connected
Justin Forsythe
What happens when you try to start it with them connected?
Bdubs
What happens when you try to start it with them connected? The Check Engine Light either stays on or just blinks, can't remember. Either way, it isn't going to hurt anything.
