fuzzydd Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I installed a set of HPS's a few weeks ago and I've noticed only a marginal improvement over stock... bite and stopping power have increased, but not as much as I would've liked them to. At this point I've gotten my brakes to the point where they "should" feel like from the factory (Techna-Fit lines, ATE blue) and I'm wanting more =\ I'm looking for a pad to run at the track this year (my first time) and was wondering if I should move up to the HP+ or higher? Maybe upgrade the rotors instead??
RobY Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 The rotors wont make much of a diffrence. They are all cast iron. For the most part they will perform similarly. A few grooves and a bunch of holes wont make much of a diffrence in terms of brake feel.

PM me!
magnetic1 Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Rotors wont make you stop any faster. If youre planning on tracking, the HPS wont cut it. Keep in mind though any compound that is more aggressive than the HPS will have more dust and noise. HP+, Carbotech XP8s are good options for first time trackers. Beanboy Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 If you go with track pads on a daily driver, remember to switch back to something more street-oriented come winter. Track pads are going to make you clench if you try to stop on a -10 degree day. -B http://www.standardshift.com
