i have a dual XPA6100

http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/1544107/vpcsid/0/SFV/30046

hooked up to an infinity reference sub

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-kBrqsMVsmQF/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?I=1081250W

when i got the sub, one of the leads inside was loose/off/taped on so i only just soldered that, double checked the wires and started things up again. came on, sounded great, etc but after maybe 10 minutes the sub shut off. the amp light is still on and green (not "guarded") but the amp is quite hot to the touch. it was toasty today and my car has been out all day, what do i troubleshoot from here?

my ground?

the ohm load?

air temp?

i THINK the voice coils were wired in parallel inside

but i could be wrong, if that matters

I would check the ohm load and the ground. The air temp would have to extreme to get an amp to shut off. It sound like the ohm load though.

didnt come on at all today. amp has power, amp is putting out power. amp recognizes shorts and stuff (when i force them) and shuts off accordingly

so my sub seems to be broke...
