Feels like car is falling apart NEED HELP

Okay I have no clue to what it is but every time I go over even the smallest bump i hear weird noises coming out of my rear wheels. The sound is like....if you take to regular eating plates, not plastic of metal, and you gently hit them together, thats the closest sound to what is going on.. I jacked up my car to see if the exhaust was moving, negative. I dont know what it is.

Already? I only had my car for less than 30,000 miles. Already new engine, a/c compressor bearings/ what shocks now too? I thought these cars were reliable

Sounds like that can come from many places. You may need to hunt around a bit. Check wheel lug nuts, check damper mounting bolts, check trunk latch or rear seat passthru, third brake light mount, etc. Each of those can cause enough ruckus to make you think your car's falling apart...

Hmmm, given you're in Montreal, maybe something broke (rough roads) or rusted through (lots of salt)... take a good look under there. Sway bar mount is known to be pretty weak.

You didn't specify that before... But it can be a bad shock still. It happens.

But I suggest that you may check for any warranty coverage.

I'm going to guess that you have a loose strut mount plate, or a loose strut shaft bolt. Check in the trunk to ensure that everything is tight.

Are there any close LGT.com members who can check it out with you? Sometimes it helps to have someone "bounce" the car while you are looking.

I know its not from anything in the trunk cause I can only hear it when the windows are open, and it is coming from the back wheels. I think it has something to do with most of the stuff mentioned because the place where I live and park has so many speed bumps and not the nice wide ones but the really really narrow thick ones and many bumps. I'll check with the dealer, i need an oil change and alignment anyway.

Yeah.... check the lugs, and all the bolts on the suspension to ensure they are tight.

If that all checks out... then it's gotta be a strut issue.

If it goes *clack-clack-clack* over slow bumps then I say it is a sway bar end link. It is really easy to check for on a lift.
