SpecBee Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Found under pass seat. Is it the factory sub wiring harness?
CwhillVT Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 dont think so. Mine comes from the center console (not from under the carpet) and they are in a light blue bundle.
Denver133 Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 I have the same wire in my 08 Spec B. I am assuming that is for the OEM sub. I havent opened the install doc for the 08 yet to see where the harness is at...But I would put 2 & 2 together.
SpecBee Posted April 16, 2008 Author Posted April 16, 2008 Yea, I was getting ready to run wires from the HU to under the seat for a sub and removed the pass seat to find that harness. I believe it's the same as the GTs without the Nav but it is located on the drivers side. Now I just have to find a connecting harness and wiring diagram or ring it out. Anyone have info on that plug? It did have a pink wrap of tape not blue...I do have an 08 with Nav.
Denver133 Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 So here is the link I found. http://techinfo.subaru.com/html/ixSearchFree.jsp?text_keyword=&keyword=&publication_type=12&free_pub=13 It has a PDF file for the "2008 Subwoofer (08MY+) (H630SFG000) (3429.53 kb)" From the quick glance at it, I see that plug there. My nav box is under the drivers seat so I would guess my Sub goes under the passanger.
LGT Dave Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Was it taped up and tucked right next to one of the floor vents under the seat? If so, that might be the connector for the optional Perimeter Alarm (Shock Sensor). I haven't heard of the cars being pre-wired for the OEM sub.
BigT Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 I'm pretty sure the factory sub goes under the drivers seat. If you don't have heated seats it could be for that.
SpecBee Posted April 18, 2008 Author Posted April 18, 2008 This sucks. It probably is for the alarm due to it being pink tape. Looks like im back to wiring into the high level outs for the ReQ and sub. I was excited that I found that plug and put the stereo back together and closed everything up.
FJuan Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Correct, the LGTs are not pre-wired from the factory. On the back of the radio there is a spot to plug in the factory sub harness. Plus the sub is installed under the driver side seat. My wife's balls are delicious.

FJuan Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 He didn't specify which yr. My comment is directed for the 05/06 model yrs. My wife's balls are delicious.
