f1anatic Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Hi folks... I am new here. What is an Accessport ? Do they make it for my 2005.5 2.5i JDM-spec left-sided Legacy Type B ? ___________ I need to connect both my Accessport version 1 and a data logger to the OBD2 port on my car. The data logger would be on my CarPC (basically - Enginuity gauges) and the APv1 would allow me to change between a few real time maps. With the gas prices, I have determined that the economy map will help me on the highway- not so much on city driving. Do I split the signal this way ? http://www.scantool.net/products/product_thumb.php?img=images/145802.jpg&w=180&h=120 and in one I stick my AP cable and in the other I stick http://www.scantool.net/products/product_thumb.php?img=images/J1962MRightAngletoDB9F.jpg&w=200&h=80 or do I split signals this way http://www.scantool.net/products/product_thumb.php?img=images/J1962MRightAngletoDB9F.jpg&w=200&h=80 (note the right angle, small profile male OBD2 terminal) and this http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:A03FWHc_8aZBjM:http://www.pccables.com/images/00828.jpg one of which will go to my CarPC and the other to the APv1 (with the apropriate "gender benders") What is the preferred way ? Is there a preferred way ? So far I have been using the AP cable but it is way too bulky at its OBD2 terminal so I want it gone and I do not want to bend to stick it in again. I can get either OBD-2 type cable with all 16 pins (so I could send the signal to the ECU - it would not be a case of pins not matching) Also to consider, the space above that pesky plate we always hit with the feet, atop the pedals - but it is a secondary concern. Thanks. Cables are available from this vendor.

I came very close to doing this one if I was keeping her
