SpawnGT Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 If a bumper is already painted color A professionally, and color A has been properly applied with primer first, and a clear coat on top. Would applying color B on top of Color A be a wise thing to do...or would one need to wet sand color A+clear coat off first, and then and only then could color B+clear coat can be applied? In adition, does anyone know if autozone has Bulldog Adhesion Promotor?
hakgwai Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 I don't think that would work. and paint doesn't work well on top of clearcoat. thats what i learned when i tried to paint my blackberry. also If color A is a dark color, wouldn't color B (if it's a light color) be off.
lilbrudder Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 you shouldn't have a problem using quality paint as long as you scuff good and use flex additive, check with a local paint supplier. damage in paint A (chips, cracks)must be properly repaired before paint B. Walmat has bull dog too.
