Spec. B - how many were built?

Recommended Posts

I have heard Spec B production numbers of 500 for MY06.

How many were built for MY07 and MY08? And for comparison, how many LGT's were built for the same years? And STI's?

Just curious as to how many are out there on the road, and whether they will be collectable in 30 years.

"New for 2038: the Subaru STI space blaster, complete orbit in 13.25 seconds." I can't wait to do a low flyover of the moon...

Hopefully, in 2038 you won't dress like most people in the future based on movies/TV from the 60's, which will be a velor jumpsuit with the white shirt and white space shoes. :p

I'm probably the only person that has Wu-Tang Clan and Paul McCartney on their mp3.:p

Going based on memory here ... but I believe that there was a thread on this previously that I couldn't find.

IIRC production for MY 07 Spec.B was 456.

In '07 SOA had planned the Spec B. to be a full production model with a run of 3000 units, but the '07s weren't selling well, so the '08s were in showrooms by something like April or May '07. In this thread actual '07 Spec B production is quoted at 432 units. Don't know the person who made this quote, so I can't speak to whether I believe it's accurate, but doesn't seem implausible.

Only 432 Spec B's in 2007? And supposedly because a key part supplier dropped the ball, and pre-orders were low.

Anybody else have any backup for that?

Thanks for the link to that thread.

I'm not saying we need to walk around patting eachother on the arses... maybe just try to keep it in the OT section ;)

I'm not trying to pick on you guys... just something that I notice from time to time

Based on the data we've all read in these threads the 07's are rarer than the 06's and the 08's are official.

Message paid for by a proud member of the 07 Spec.B club.
