DietCoke Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 I Just got my tints done on tuesday. Its the 5th day and i still noticed that there are little tiny bubbles in the cornnor of my window. Will thoese go away or should i take it back to the shop were i got it done.
Underdog Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Got my car tinted last april and it took a good 2-3 months before all the bubbles went away. There are still a few very, very small bubbles but you have to be looking for them and even then, only if there is direct light coming through. The Crimson Dynamo
Carter Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 If its cold out it will take longer, you need a good "heating" to get them to disapear.
whobaru Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 They'll def go away. Give it some more time and warmer temps.
Guest heightsgtltd Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 If it's a good job, they will go away eventually. My tint guy told me to expect this and said it could take a couple weeks or so.
NewLegGT67 Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 According to the comments above, bubbles appear on tints after an install are common? Also, I assume you are more likely to see bubbles if you have your tints installed in the winter (cold weather) as opposed to when it is warmer out. Is this correct? I'm probably the only person that has Wu-Tang Clan and Paul McCartney on their mp3.
Jerboa113 Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 +1.. I know it makes you want to freak out, I was the same way when I had my frist tint job done.. but they do go away.. at least 99% of them.. there may be a few that hang around but its no big deal "The penalty good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men." - Plato
DietCoke Posted March 16, 2008 Author Posted March 16, 2008 Yea i do live in Michigan and it is 40 degrees outside. I guess thats the reason for the bubbles, thanks
Bdubs Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 The little bubbles freaked me out, but a reputable shop should have given you a care paper stating that it is normal. The other thing that bothered me was I couldn't wash the windows for 20 days and they streaked the film like crazy, totally drove me nuts.
