SubLGTaru Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Okay, so here are some things that I want to do to my car in the near future. Not in any particular order. Obviously I cannot do all of these at the same time because the funds would not allow for it. What would you do first to last? *Rota SDR's Hyperblack (On Order) Falken F412's *RSB (Cobb probably, if it will fit with an HKS CBE) Can I use stock FSB with this? *RBS Rear Lip *Cobb AP V2 (w/protuned maps for stg1 and stg2) *Cobb Catted DP *DIY Home Depot special front lip *MR LUV blacked out headlights/angeleye retrofit *JDM Pinks Springs w/ Bilstein HD struts can't think of much else but I'm sure there is more...
executor485 Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 COBB AP all the way! You wont regret it. That's first in my list COBB Cat DP next Rota's JDM Pinks Front lip Lights RBS Lip But thats just me, and thats without suggesting any different parts If I pass you on the right, I'm flipping you off.

Obviously I cannot do all of these at the same time because the funds would not allow for it. What would you do first to last? *Rota SDR's Hyperblack (On Order) Falken F412's -Do first. I would have gotten a different tire though. Just my $.02 *RSB (Cobb probably, if it will fit with an HKS CBE) Can I use stock FSB with this? -Do fifth *RBS Rear Lip *Cobb AP V2 (w/protuned maps for stg1 and stg2) -Do second *Cobb Catted DP -Do third *DIY Home Depot special front lip *MR LUV blacked out headlights/angeleye retrofit *JDM Pinks Springs w/ Bilstein HD struts -Do forth, but Id do Koni Inserts with swift spring. That will perform better IMO and be cheaper. can't think of much else but I'm sure there is more... All the cosmetic stuff is trivial and does not matter what order you do them in.
SubLGTaru Posted March 13, 2008 Author Posted March 13, 2008 All the cosmetic stuff is trivial and does not matter what order you do them in. Tires I have not ordered yet....that's just what I was thinking. What tire would you recommend then? Yeah I want to do the AP soon, then when more money is available do the DP. The swifts lower more than the JDM pinks correct? You would say the Koni Inserts and Swifts would be better on Indiana pothole roads than what I mentioned?

andrew.anderson Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 The stock suspension, wheels and tires are not that great. I am a firm believer that your car should handle well before getting all the power under the hood. That being said. Th Access Port is nice and not that expensive hence the reason i slipped it in second.
SubLGTaru Posted March 13, 2008 Author Posted March 13, 2008 Where did you get your RE-O1R's from? I just read some reviews on them on tirerack and they seam really good. $159 EA. Is that a good deal for a 225/45/17?
rudy Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Tires: Falken Azeni RT-615 Very few, if any street tires will have more grip. They were tops in the last GRM tire test that I've seen.
cmc032 Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 to me I get more of a kick out of my car looking good then it going fast ... and it is already extremely fast... JDM Pinks Springs w/ Bilstein HD struts (this will lower your car and give it a nasy stance .. it looks sick. Also it will give you the suspension and handling necessary for when you do go stage II) Next I would definitely get some power! You have to get the DP before you go stage II so do then and then go stage II Throw some tires and rims in when you get the money. Search the used rims here, theres some nice ones for pretty cheap Good Luck!

They were tops in the last GRM tire test that I've seen. the re-01r, the advan neova ad07, and the dunlop direzza sport tires all are better than the rt-615. the falkens are like a poor mans advan neova ad07s.

NSFW Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 I'm getting Tokico shocks rather than Bilsteins, just for the adjustability. I may rarely use those knobs, but I like having them. Just ordered them, in fact. Almost certainly getting Pinks too, and the same wheels. I'm a firm believer that power mods before handling mods is no big deal. Power makes you accelerate more rapidly, it doesn't turn you into a bad driver. If you're the kind of person who likes to push things to push things to the limits you'll find those limits regardless of which mods you get and when. If you're not that kind of person, then the order of upgrades is even more irrelevant. I will be doing suspension first, but that's only because I can't make up my mind about which powerups to get.
