If anything, you could put a 1998 or 1999 LGT bumper, side skirts, and rear bumper on it. Slightly more aggressive, but won't look ugly.

Too get yourself a body kit and have it shipped here would cost more than you paid for the car. Your best bet is GT parts or check eBay for some JDM bumpers.

yeah thats probably true since i didn't really pay too much for any of the subarus i've had over the years. im just trying to run something different than everybody else with their 2.5gt

i got my bumper on ebay for about 280 shipped (on a pallet and everything!), its used and has some scuff marks, but for my car, thats fine, it would look out of place if it was mint condition, haha...

ive only seen JDM front bumpers and a couple rear bumpers on ebay though, but keep your eyes open for stuff.....oh, and those projector fog lamps will cost you about as much as the bumper its self if you decide to get them.

I can tell you right now, you have a JDM bumper, that bumpers used on JDM GT's even. You want the GT-B bumper

Bumper (Unfortunatelly that ones in NZ. BUT it's a limited edition one - epic win for having one of these), Fog lights

Get some of these too, they look MINT

Aaaand, perfect time to show off my JDM GTB Ltd.

Where do you get your information from? USDM bumper and JDM bumpers arent the same.

The early USDM bumpers were exaclty the same style as JDM standard bumpers. The beams/mounts may be different, but from the outside the are the same. Later USDM was indeed very unique

The Lsi in question, and my old LX

Yea but those aren't the JDM bumpers they are selling on eBay. Plus if he were to look i'm sure he would notice if it looks like his or not.

im just looking for something to make my wagon stand out and yeah that is the front end im looking for grill and all  im not looking to try to rice this thing out just something a little more aggressive

The 1998 LGT, and indeed, the 1998 L front bumper has a splitter on it, as well as a more aggressive look. =\ I don't really know if what you're looking for exists.

For something that looks mean, and packs a mean set of fog lights that you can actually find on US soil, you may want to look at a 96-99 outback front bumper. When they're painted to match, they look great on a legacy.

I don't think anyone would ever call your car rice for having one either.

well out of all the research ive been able to do i think im going to try the outback bumper painted to match. if it looks like $hit then i'll go for the lgt bumper. either one should be an easy swap:cool:

Before you even do it take a look of an outback. That's what it will look like on your car.

yeah i think it looks good on the legacy without the fender flares from the outback. and painted body color it looks compleatly different. it should be a straight swap right? just the bumper cover and the grill?

id assume so, my JDM GT-B bumper fits amost perfectly after removng the entire stock one, it not a hard swap to do, but you will wand someone else to help you with the removal of the current bumper.

I vote JDM over outback.

I live in NZ btw so can help with shipping on that LTD bumper i linked to. I'm just about to ship some [parts] to FWA2500 there actaully... (Don't want to ruin the surprise :D :D ) It's nice to help JDM up some of those USDM leggys :D

Posted
yeah i would like to JDM this up a little bit. there are so many of these legacys here in the seattle area and i think they are all stock USDM and i cant have my car looking the same as everybody else
Posted

which is why i got my GT-B grill and bumper :D they look amazing and believe it or not, people actually look at my car now...its definately a different look from the stock bumpers we have, and well worth it :D

oh, and if your stock bumper is anything like mine was, though mine i think had a replacement mounting bracket that was made in taiwan, the JDM bumpers weight alot less and you will notice better handling....atleast i did
