xr7kid Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Now that it's getting warmer I'm using my A/C more and noticing that it no longer gets cold. I also noticed while poking around there's a plug that plug into the back of the compressor, it seems this somehow got smashed and was tapped together and I think on backwards. This may have been a result of my accident with a curb. Anyways, what does this plug do and if it's broken could if cause my lack of cold air? Thanks - E

whitetiger Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 the plug is prolly the a/c clutch pulley lead. If that is broken, the compressor cannot be engaged.
Living Legacy Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Not a bad time to remind everyone to be using there A/C at least once a month (I think for like 15mins?) to keep everything lubricated-according to the manual...
xr7kid Posted March 11, 2008 Author Posted March 11, 2008 It would appear this is my problem, my compressor does not turn on. Anyone know if just the sensor can be replaced? Surely they wouldn't make it an integral part of whole compressor?
Hanger Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 my buddy Dr.Chu just recently had this AC compressor replaced, because apparently while driving a pebble manage to hit the compressor and left a dent. No warranty cover, costed him $600 ○ ○ ○ Instagram: itshangertime :spin: ○ ○ ○
