Hi everyone!

I am looking to purchase a stock 05 Legacy wagon gt ltd 5mt with 46,500 km or approx. 32,000 mi.

The car is a lease return that has had the clutch replaced.

Why the new clutch you ask?!

The previous owner didn't know how to shift as told to me from the dealer.

In addtition to the new clutch(and all related clutch work),work done includes:

the 153 point pre owned inspection.

new rear and front pads.

4 wheel alignment.

new aux drive belt.

new alt belt.

machined both front and rear rotors.

the 48,000 km major tune up was done

AND a stereo upgrade.

What bothers me is...would having that new clutch mean anything to be worried about?

The relay recall would be tended to as I have yet to inquire re this.

The bumper to bumper is expired and the powertrain has 18 months left.

Asking price is $24,495.Keep in mind, cars in Canada cost more.....always.

What do you all think? Pull the trigger?

Anything I missed would be greatly appreciated.

Thankyou in advance!

if i could see a brief list of the 153 points of inspection, i would be more at ease. otherwise it could be just a marketing tool

Have you considered importing from the US??? Are you stuck on the LGT or is it specifically the wagon??

There are tons of vehicles listed on the forum for sale. There are a number of companies that will act as import brokers and will deal with paperwork and shipping. Generally expect those total costs to be in the $1,500 or so range.

Good luck searching.

Not sure where in the country you are .... but here is some good information on toronto-subaru-club.com specific to importing into Ontario.
