approaching 100k. Sad thing is even if I wanted to replace it, there is NOTHING I would be interested in replacing it with. Man now I feel like I should go wash and wax it up :D

^ ^ I feel exactly the same way.

I have been a Subaru Sales Specialist since 1998, and there is nothing Subaru currently sells that I like better than my 5BG. OBP (1 of 108)

I can't replace it.

It's got 80k on it now, and my extended warranty just paid for a brand new engine, turbo, & up-pipe.

I think I'll keep it.

1 of 131...very cool. Not quite as rare as my 1997 Acura Integra GS-R sedan in Black currant pearl, only 103 of those. Bought that one new.

Anyway, i had no idea our cars were so rare. I love, love , love mine. It's a shame it has 90k on it already. I also wonder what to replace it with someday. I think it's such a great blend of fun, comfort, AWD, wagon, it's all i could want. My dad just bought an '05 baja sport with 58k miles for like 15 grand. i only paid 14k for my 33k stickered car. i know bajas are rare, but i think our's are even more so, now.

BTW, great thread Mat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know the difference between these two?

177.....OBP.....2005 Legacy 2.5i wagon MT Unltd

49......OBP.....2005 Legacy 2.5i wagon MT Unltd

Perhaps there was an error in the original conversion of data? They would look to be the same car (what mine is). But the fact they were separate entries in the list suggests otherwise.

No Error.

The 2005 Legacy Wagon came with an option of two (2) Interiors.

Black or Taupe.

177 = Black

49 = Taupe

Thanks for the clarification IndyBlitzen.

Assumption is more black than taupe or is there another way to differentiate?

So who else has a 05 SWP LGT LMT 5MT on black besides me? There should be 47 of you.

I also live in Salt Lake and have a 05 SWP LGT 5MT LTD WGN with black interior! I was hoping that having the rarest of the wagons would mean I wouldn't run into another one!!

Please excuse my ignorance, I'm new to this world of XT/GT. Because I have yet to see another garnet red Subaru I got to this site looking for production numbers. Despite reading all 10 pages of this, as well as other threads, I'm having trouble translating my car/VIN to what I see on the list. I saw 'garnet red [something]' listed on the web site where I found the car. I infer that's GRP on the list. I thought we had a gray interior but maybe there's no such thing and it's black? The XT and 5-speed AT are pretty self-explanatory. But there seem to be multiple matches on the list for this combination. What am I missing? To facilitate answers here's some info from the builder's plate.

I think like it was said a few post up, he didn't post interior colors, that's why there seems to be doubles.

:( I have 1 of 108 Black 5 speed wagons...I thought I was special. Oh yea, real close to 126,000 miles.

Purchased late June 04 I think it was around the 27th. My records show the 1st oil change was July 19 04 at 1800 miles.

Edited by Max Capacity

305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).  CHECK your oil, these cars use it.

I inferred that the colors in parentheses at the end of some lines were the interior colors. Mine definitely is black and I now know that the 'P' in the color name is pearl. I know also from the Carfax that mine is an early production model since it was originally delivered in October '04. Still looking for any help in deciphering where my car is in the list.

Give me the last 8 of your VIN and I can tell you exactly what you're asking.
