Auger + Autospeed CBE = Lower Cabin noise!!

For some, Autospeed CBE is not loud, but to me, it gets annoying sometimes when I am driving, or when I have passenger(s) and we want to chat.

 

I want to lower my cabin noise, and read this "auger" thing at the Nasioc forum, and just gave it a try. Afterall..it is only $21ish shipped, not a lot of money compared to a resonator.

 

Pros:

I installed it where the S pipe meets the Y pipe. Before, when I downshift from 4-3 (blip throttle) at around 45mph, cabin gets a bit noisy. I would have to listen to my music at around level 11-13 to cover these noise. Now, I can listen to music at around 5-6!!

 

Outside noise is also reduce. I did not test or record from outside, but I can tell it did.

 

Cons:

As some of the Impreza folks said...it may create some back pressure. Trade off b/t noise and hp.

 

For the price, I say is totally worth it if you want to reduce your cabin noise.

That looks like it would create a massive exhaust restriction. You're probably better off with 3" mid/y and stock mufflers.

I think I would do that later down the road; Perrin mid and Y or X02.
