Instanced Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Sorry if this is a repost, but I'm looking to get some 19" rims for my legacy... tire size is 235/35-19... just wondering if i'll have any issues fitting them into my legacy... will i have any wheelrub? I will appreciate info (the rims/wheels are cheap too)
Instanced Posted February 26, 2008 Author Posted February 26, 2008 Ok I actually used the search... saw a couple places mentioning that it won't be a problem, but would like word from someone else before i go out and get them.

Instanced Posted February 26, 2008 Author Posted February 26, 2008 Pot holes do worry me so... :-\ i'm goin smaller... its the right decision... I hope I get the ones i'm looking at... i'll still have my stock ones just in case.
SubLo Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 The pothole issue relative to stockers depends mostly on the overall sidewall height. Other factors are rim construction/strength and rim width vs. tire width. That said, there are physical limitations due to diameter, scrub radius and offset. Search for 19" rims in the Tire/Wheel forum here. ________________________________________________ '05 BSM OBXT Row-your-own, W.I.P. '06 Shrek B # 64 - The car the wife loved to hate :( Sold...
Instanced Posted February 26, 2008 Author Posted February 26, 2008 the rims were previously on an Audi TT. they are ASA JH8 19" I do know I want alittle more sidewall to help buffer the impacts... the more the better ideally... but you also lose performance when they are to large. 19" rims are heavy too... but I want a change... i think 18" is a decent size... 19" would be to large for me I think... i'm used to 14" rims on VW's... my rota's (which should come home soon) are 15"... so far the 16" stock rims are the largest rims i've ever owned. so i wanna try larger and see how i like the look/performance. and hopefully the roads in VT won't completely own them. my buddy has an m3 with 18's... so i should be alright.
