Brady Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 I have a handful of questions since I've been wanting to get some dings taken out since I've moved out here. I have 4 dings I'm looking at, ranging from moderate (about quarter - half dollar sized on a fender, not in crease) to minor on a door (x 2), and a small hail dimple on the hood. First, I'm going to be picky about workmanship, so my first question is, is this a new service your shop is doing themselves, or are you contracting through an experienced PDR service. What sort of guarantee is offered? Also, any issues with working aluminum for the hood? I haven't looked up the shop yet, but where are you located? And as far as pricing, do you generally charge per panel, by the hour? By the severity of the damage in question. Can you give a general idea what to expect when coming in for an estimate? Thanks!
Revolutions Performance Posted February 23, 2008 Author Posted February 23, 2008 This is a contracted service provided by Carmedic of Colorado Springs. Steve has been doing this for 6 years now and is the best PDR guy I've ever seen. I'll be posting a retail price sheet as a guideline in the next day or two. The Carmedic Guarantee: The Carmedic's work must be to your satisfaction or you do not pay. Any work performed by The Carmedic that does not meet our customer's satisfaction and requires additional repair to comply with our customer's request will considered by The Carmedic as unsatisfactory work. The amount paid to The Carmedic willbe refunded in full for the repair charged by The Carmedic within 7 days of notification. Notification Requirements: A Copy of The Carmedic's original repair invoice A Statement of reason for unsatisfactory work Hope that clears it up a little- I've asked Steve to come post in here when he gets a chance as well. Scuba_Steve Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Sorry for the delay. My name is Steve and I'm part owner of the CarMedic. We've been around since 1992 and I've been a partner since 2002. As stated in the previous post, we guarantee our work, if you're not satisfied you don't pay. Here's a guideline on our pricing. Again, this is just a guideline, actual price may be less or more. Hope this helps.
Those Meddling Kids Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Here is a quick general price sheet- prices may change based on the severity of the dents.: http://premium1.uploadit.org/scubasteve//True-and-Total-Service.jpg

I don't mind people being picky about workmanship, you should be, I am:). We can work aluminum, it's a little tougher but we can do it. The biggest problem with aluminum panels is that they are usually heavily braced and allow no access to the dent, fortunately for you, Subaru's aren't like this . Price is per panel and dent, use the price sheet as a guideline. I take care of my Subaru brothers and the more dents on your vehicle usually means more discount:cool:.
servion Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 I'll 100% vouch for Scuba_Steve's work.... he's done work on most of my vehicles and its been top notch. Nobody else does my PDR.
