Howdy...I just recently switched over from the WRX side of things to an '08 QSM Spec.B and was wondering how many other Legacy owners were on here in the area...I also wanted to extend an invitation to a weekly meet that a few of us have going on at the Starbucks at Trout Gulch/Soquel Dr in Aptos (Wednesdays ~8pm, if you need directions, just shoot me a PM). Its a super mellow weekly BS session that gets us out of the house...Anyway, just wanted to say Hi and hope to meet/wave at some folks in the SC area...Thanks!!

Welcome SCSpecB! I'm not in the Santa Cruz area, but I do head down that way for autox. A meet in Santa Cruz sounds like a fun time to me. I'll see if I can swing by one of these weekly ones sometime. Sorry for the lack of responses. We're a small and quiet group.

How u liking your Spec B vs. your WRX?

Congrats on your Spec B... I'm up in the bay. Like avalanche011 said, it's a pretty quite group around these parts. I don't get down to SC much anymore, and when I did it wasn't in my wagon.. usually a big ass van with a huge ass boat trailer behind it, not the most fun thing to drive through the hills!

Anyways welcome, and if I'm heading down to your zone I'll keep a look out.

Nothing wrong with small and quiet, its much better than the opposite when it comes to cars lol...Its a world of difference from my WRX, much more comfortable and because its bigger it feels a lot more planted. I switched mainly because there was just not enough room in the 'rex...I'm also in the Santa Clara area fairly often, so maybe the spotting chances are better over there. Anyway, thanks for the welcomes and we'll see you around!

I actually work in Sunnyvale. So maybe we might run into each other someitme.

I'm heading to the clam chowder cook off this Sat at the Boardwalk. I'm debating whether I want to take the wagon, I think it might be hard to find parking. What do you think SpecB? Maybe I'll see you there.

I'm from Brookdale (S.C. mountains) and now live in ID, but my mom is still there. The next time I visit I may try to hook up with you guys.

I totally forgot about the chowder cookoff!! I have a feeling parking wont be much of an issue because of the weather, its supposed to rain and be damn windy. I love chowder, but the girlfriend hates it, so I probably wont be partaking lol...I hear theres AutoX in Marina on Sunday, so you could make a weekend out of coming down lol...whobaru, I love the felton/brookdale/bc area....I'm out in the Aptos area, right near Cabrillo College...

I had a short career at Cabrillo  Right after I rolled my CRX on Bear Creek road I put together a '68 AMC Rebel and it wouldn't get me to school for the first few weeks of the semester (overheating), so I dropped out. After a new radiator it was a hawt car, but the whole thing was a fiasco.

It is UFO, also sounds like there may be an SCCA one in Oakland? http://www.i-club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=179545 I don't know too much, just know that a few friends are going....Whobaru, its the Cabrillo Curse I think, you either end up going there for years longer than anticipated, oooooooooor you go there for 2 weeks LOL....I still see people I had classes with 4 or 5 years ago when I drive by

If my friends are going, it'll be a white EVO 8 and a black '02 WRX....I'm not sure if I'm heading out or not, I may have to work tonight.

That's awesome. I live down in the Rio Flats. Wednesday is poker night but I'll have to skip one of these nights and come up and meet you guys. How many LGT's in the group? I have seen a GRP sedan in that parking lot a couple of times. It's one of the two LGT's that I have seen in Santa Cruz County. There's not many of us. I've never seen a B in these parts. I'll have to come up and check yours out. Congrats on the new car!

Sweet! I'll have to keep an eye out for you....Yeah so far I'm the only LGT in the group, and I only see a few around. Theres a pretty sweet wagon that lives right near my dads house at the end of Cliff Dr, down by Hidden Beach. Its a white '05 (maybe?) lowered, tint and Rotas, looks pretty sweet...

Ya, not too many Legacys around, but I work in Watsonville so mostly south county. A Starbucks weekly meet sounds great. I'm just up the hill from the Rio Flats on Cliff Drive. I can drop by next Wednesday for caffine and cars!

:icon_idea Eat your fresh berries every day. Good for 5 hp.

I think you have the wagon I mentioned above (I'm sure I got some details wrong), theres not too many combos of a Lotus and a Suby wagon. I've been admiring your Suby for a while, my dad lives down at the end of Cliff....I actually drove by this morning and wondered if you were on the forum lol.

As a heads up if folks were thinking of coming out tonight (27th) we'll be meeting at Aptos Pizza at about 7 (its right across Soquel from Safeway, right up the road from Starbucks) then heading to Starbucks around 8 or so....
