Sarra Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Get a friend, and a garden hose, and find out the old-fashioned way?
SBT Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Your sunroof drains are likely clogged and are backing up and causing water to run down the headliner to either the top edge of the window (feel the back (in up position) of you your sun-visor(s) - they would be damp or even wet, or feel the passenger seat top front which will likely be damp and your carpets will be damp there too. If you were parked up-hill on an incline, the water would run toward the back, causing the back wettage that you mentioned. The other cause could be the actual seal around your sunroof, especially if you have the Subaru wind deflector in place as this does tend to compromise the SR seal over time and if you park down-hill then water accumulates inside the wind deflector and then seeps down past the SR seal at the deflector attachment points. Have seen it on several friend's Gen 2s. Sometimes it's just a bad seal, especially along the back edge where the two seal joints come together. Do a Google search on Subaru Leaking Sunroof and you'll likely come up with some information on clearing the drains. Good luck. SBT - Pro amore Dei et patriam et populum -
